Community Involvement and Local Leadership
From volunteering and serving on local boards to attending events that bring people together, I believe connection builds stronger communities and better opportunities for everyone.
Why I Stay Involved
Community involvement has always been an important part of who I am. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to serve through nonprofit organizations, leadership programs, professional associations, and local initiatives throughout Central Texas.
I believe getting involved is one of the best ways to better understand the community around you. These experiences have introduced me to different perspectives, challenged me to grow as a leader, and given me opportunities to contribute in meaningful ways.
They have also strengthened skills I carry into my professional life, including communication, collaboration, strategic thinking, and relationship building. Whether I’m serving on a board, volunteering, or participating in a leadership program, I try to approach each opportunity with a willingness to listen, learn, and contribute.
For me, community involvement is ultimately about showing up, building relationships, and leaving things a little better than I found them.
