The Best Patio Dining Around Austin

There are two things Texans love: good food and being outside.

Fortunately, Austin gives us plenty of opportunities to enjoy both.

Whether you're meeting friends for happy hour, grabbing brunch on a Saturday morning, or enjoying dinner while the sun sets, these are some of my favorite patio dining destinations around Austin.

Jack Allen's Kitchen

If you've followed me for any length of time, you've probably heard me mention Jack Allen's.

The food is consistently good, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the patio is one of my favorite places to enjoy a meal when the weather cooperates.

The Oasis

You can't talk about Austin patios without mentioning The Oasis.

People don't necessarily come here for the food.

They come for the view.

And honestly, watching the sunset over Lake Travis is one of those experiences every Austin resident should enjoy at least once.

Mozart's Coffee Roasters

Part coffee shop, part Austin institution.

Mozart's offers lakeside seating, beautiful views, and one of the most relaxing outdoor settings in the city.

It's perfect for coffee, conversation, or getting a little work done outside.

Loro

Loro's outdoor space might be one of my favorites in Austin.

The communal seating, mature trees, and casual atmosphere make it an easy place to spend an afternoon.

Meanwhile Brewing

Austin breweries have become gathering places, and Meanwhile is a great example.

Food trucks, outdoor seating, live music, and plenty of room to spread out make it a popular destination for families and groups.

The Grove Wine Bar & Kitchen

Located in Cedar Park as well as Austin, The Grove offers a patio that's ideal for date nights, girls' nights, or catching up with friends.

It's one of those places that feels upscale without being intimidating.

Salt Traders Coastal Cooking

If you're looking for seafood and a comfortable outdoor atmosphere, Salt Traders is always a solid choice.

The patio is spacious, and the menu offers something different from the typical Austin barbecue and Tex-Mex scene.

Easy Tiger

Whether you're grabbing breakfast, lunch, or a casual drink, Easy Tiger's outdoor spaces have become a favorite among Austinites.

The laid-back atmosphere makes it easy to stay longer than planned.

My Take

One of the reasons I love living in Central Texas is that patio season lasts a lot longer here than it does in most places.

Some of my favorite conversations, business meetings, and weekend afternoons have happened around Austin patios.

Good food tastes even better with sunshine, fresh air, and good company.
