Best Places to Shop Local in Central Texas
One of my favorite ways to spend a Saturday is exploring local businesses.
Not because I always need something, but because shopping local gives you a chance to discover the people, creativity, and personality that make a community unique.
If you're looking to support small businesses while finding something special, these are a few places around Central Texas worth exploring.
South Congress
If I had to send someone to one shopping area that feels undeniably Austin, it would be South Congress.
You'll find local boutiques, vintage stores, gift shops, jewelry, art, and plenty of places to stop for coffee or lunch along the way.
It's one of those places where half the fun is simply wandering around.
East Austin
East Austin has become a hub for independent businesses, makers, artists, and creative entrepreneurs.

It's walkable, convenient, and easy to pair with lunch or dinner downtown.
