My Favorite Ways to Spend a Sunday in Austin

I've reached the point in life where I don't need every weekend to be packed with plans.

Don't get me wrong, I love exploring Austin, trying new restaurants, and getting out of the house. But Sundays have become less about doing everything and more about slowing down before a new week begins.

If I had a perfect Sunday in Central Texas, it would probably look something like this.

Start Slow

No alarms.

No rushing.

No checking emails before my feet hit the floor.

Just coffee and a quiet morning.

As a Realtor, content creator, mom, and someone who tends to keep a pretty full calendar, I appreciate a slow start whenever I can get one.

Grab Coffee and Get Out of the House

One of my favorite Sunday rituals is finding a coffee shop and spending some time reading, planning content, writing, or simply people-watching.

Austin has no shortage of great coffee shops, and sometimes a change of scenery is exactly what I need.

Take a Walk

Whether it's Lady Bird Lake, Brushy Creek, or a neighborhood trail, I try to spend at least part of Sunday outside.

Walking helps me clear my head and mentally prepare for the week ahead.

Explore Somewhere New

One thing I love about Central Texas is that there's always somewhere new to discover.

A local boutique.

A bakery.

A small-town square.

A coffee shop I've never tried.

Some of my favorite days have started with no plan at all.

Brunch, Obviously

Let's be honest.

Brunch is one of Austin's greatest contributions to society.

A slow Sunday brunch with good food and good company is hard to beat.

Visit a Farmers Market

I love supporting local businesses, and farmers markets are one of the easiest ways to do that.

Fresh flowers, baked goods, local vendors, and live music always make for a great Sunday morning.

Watch the Sunset

If the weather cooperates, ending the weekend with a sunset is one of my favorite ways to reset.

It's a reminder to slow down for a few minutes before Monday arrives.

My Take

The older I get, the more I appreciate simple Sundays.

A little sunshine.

Good coffee.

Time with people I care about.

And maybe a pastry I didn't technically need.

That's my kind of weekend.
